Mid-Peninsula Village, founded in 2016, is a non-profit, membership-based virtual community serving older adults in San Mateo, Burlingame, Hillsborough, Millbrae, and San Bruno. The organization's goal is to help members age in place by providing access to support services that enable them to engage in community activities and maintain their independence. Through a network of volunteers and vetted service providers, Mid-Peninsula Village offers assistance with transportation, home maintenance, technology support, and social activities, fostering a sense of community and enhancing the quality of life for its members.

Hotel Oakland Village

Hotel Oakland Village

Hotel Oakland Village, established in 2011, is an innovative affordable senior community in Oakland, California, offering over 85 free, on-site health and wellness programs to its nearly 400 residents, with a focus on reducing senior isolation and promoting long-term health. The community's comprehensive approach includes resident-managed health education groups, regular health assessments, and over 90 monthly social activities, enabling seniors to remain active, vibrant, and socially connected while aging in place. Hotel Oakland Village's model not only improves the quality of life for its residents, most of whom are monolingual Chinese seniors, but also serves as a nationally recognized example for combating the negative health impacts of senior isolation in affordable housing communities

Clayton Valley Village (CVV) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors by fostering independence and social connections. The group offers a variety of programs and events designed to promote engagement and community, such as a July 4th celebration, Cheese and Wine & Chat gatherings, Happy Hours, and birthday celebrations for members12. Their mission emphasizes enriching life experiences, encapsulated in their motto: "It's Not the Years in Your Life that Count. It's the Life in Your Years." Membership provides access to social activities, volunteer opportunities, and support services, serving as a "gateway to independence" for seniors in the Clayton Valley area. The organization encourages participation through events like Happy Hour at La Veranda and Momo N Curry, as well as seasonal celebrations.

The organization is committed to building an inclusive culture that advances access to services for older adults from all backgrounds and economic means. Through a network of volunteers spanning five generations, Ashby Village enables seniors to age with dignity and purpose in their diverse, multi-generational neighborhoods.
